Major Depressive Disorder

Taking the concept of “self” as our point of departure, we are conducting a multi-modal—EEG, MRI, and MRS—investigation of depression.  Our guiding hypothesis is that certain types of electrical and chemical activity are indicative of excessively self-focused ruminations.  One among our aims is to determine what types of treatment can be salubrious for MDD patients who evince this feature of depression.
