The Computational Cognition Lab at Taipei Medical University (TMU), under the direction of Dr. Christoph Dahl (Graduate Institute of Mind, Brain, and Consciousness) is seeking a full-time Research Assistant.

Our lab focuses on various aspects of cognition and consciousness in animals and human infants, employing experimental and computational techniques. We use a variety of methods such as preferential looking paradigms, habituation – dishabituation paradigms, body movement analysis, eye and head tracking, ERP recordings, and computational modelling.

This role involves managing and assisting with different aspects of behavioural studies in animals and infants, including data collection and analysis, as well as computational modelling.

Candidates must have a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Psychology, Biology, Neuroscience, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field. Experience in conducting experiments in animals and/or humans, and experience with programming in MATLAB and/or Python are required. English and Mandarin communication skills are required.

The initial employment period for this position is 1 year, with the possibility of extension. The job starting date is negotiable, but no later than June 1st, 2024. Salary is in accordance with the TMU research assistant compensation standard plus health insurance and other benefits. Compensation is commensurate with qualifications and experience and is subject to an annual increase.
