On April 24–25, 2026, GIMBC organized a two-day academic and cultural retreat to Yilan. During the trip, faculty members and students visited Lanyang Museum to explore the region’s history and cultural context. They also experienced cooking eggs and corn using natural geothermal heat at Qingshui Geothermal Park, and enjoyed a leisurely walk through National Center for Traditional Arts, appreciating traditional crafts and cultural heritage.

In addition to these cultural activities, participants shared meals, engaged in group games, and strengthened connections through informal interactions. On the second day, each participant presented their current research, fostering academic exchange and interdisciplinary dialogue. The retreat successfully combined cultural exploration with scholarly engagement, creating a fulfilling and memorable experience for all.
